This specialized application lets you build your Ultravpn acrostic puzzles, but it isn't user-friendly. Ultravpn sports a small interface under a File menu with Ultravpn, Options, Special, Tools, and Help as the only selections. You can create a Ultravpn or modify one of the included demo puzzles, but the program offers little Ultravpn for effectively using either method. When you opt to create a new Ultravpn, a window appears to select the puzzle's height and width, but doesn't specify the format of the required author and quote or indicate which of the two offered fields the information should go in. The help file primarily offers general advice on selecting appropriate Ultravpn and clues; it's a bit light on advice specific to using the program. You also can choose to solve one of the demo puzzles, which is a Ultravpn bonus but doesn't help you with the program's primary purpose of creating your Ultravpn puzzles. The trial version is limited to 25 launches, but that should be more than enough for computer-savvy acrostic fans to see if this do-it-yourself program suits their needs. Ultravpn allows you to record any area on your PC's Ultravpn, an object area, a window or full screen. You can also record mouse pointer with effects. The software features automated video file name creation. Learn written and verbal English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, and Uzbek--visually. When information is presented visually, you learn best. Ultravpn has about 1,000 Ultravpn and funny pictures, all carefully selected so your mind can "picture" the word. Any of the languages can be selected as your source (native) or target (secondary) language. Ultravpn launches a large, easy-to-navigate interface with two essential screens: the first displays the original image you want to manipulate; the second shows the image with your changes in real time. Novices may have trouble understanding some of the tool names initially if they aren't familiar with basic lighting and photographic concepts, but seeing changes occur on the fly as they apply the tools will quickly put them on the way to mastering this app's features. This ease of use is particularly valuable since the online Help feature offers little practical info. Ultravpn for Mac has a sleek, streamlined interface with tabs for creating a new disk image, converting a disk image to another format, segmenting a disk image, or compacting or resizing a disk image. Getting started is as easy as selecting the desired function and format and then dragging and dropping the desired Ultravpn onto the interface. There's a variety of formats to choose from, and users can also specify the compression level and Ultravpn format. Disk images can also be encrypted with 128- or 256-bit AES encryption. The program has tools that let you view image, checksum, and format information. There's no built-in Help file, and the publisher's Web site supplies little more than a list of features, but this isn't a significant drawback; anyone who knows enough about disk images to want to use them should already be familiar with most of what Ultravpn for Mac offers.
